Waiting On Wednesday (15)

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine. This is a once-a-week look at the book(s) I am anxiously awaiting release.

"The Chaos of Stars" by Kiersten White

This book is to be released September 10th, 2013. It is a stand-alone novel.

Isodora's family is seriously screwed up.

Of course, as the human daughter of Egyptian gods, that pretty much comes with the territory. She's also stuck with parents who barely notice her, and a house full of relatives who can't be bothered to remember her name. After all, they are going to be around forever--and she's a mere mortal.

Isodora's sick of living a life where she's only worthy of a passing glance, and when she had the chance to move to San Diego with her brother, she jumps on it. But Isodora's quickly finding that a "normal" life comes with plenty of its own epic complications--and that there's no such thing as a clean break when it comes to family. Much as she wants to leave her past behind, she can't shake the ominous dreams that foretell destruction for her entire family. When it turns out there may be truth in her nightmares, Isodora has to decide whether she can abandon her divine heritage after all.

Got to love Egyptian mythology! There seems to be a theme when it comes to mythology and it is either Egyptian or Greek right now. There is only one book out, or coming out soon, that is about some sort of mythology that isn't within those two types. Although there are a lot of Egyptian mythology young adult books, I still want to read this one and see how it measures up to the rest. Besides the fact that Kiersten's Paranormalcy series was amazing!

What are you "Waiting On" this Wednesday?
